Sevendust @ Harpos LIve Review

Sevendust, Coal Chamber, Lacuna Coil, Candlelight Red.
All on one stage. All in one night. It doesn't get much better than this.
Check out the band websites for upcoming tour dates.

First up for the night was Candlelight Red. They set the tone for the evening getting fans warmed up early on. A task embraced and easily achieved by the Central Pennsylvania natives. These guys put on a great live performance filled with high energy that the crowd responded to immediately.  The band performed through a thick cloud of baby powder (provided by Coal Chamber drummer Mike Cox) that was poured all over the drum kit before and during their set. Brian later told me that was their initiation for being the new guys on the tour.  I saw them last year for the first time at the Uproar festival and I was very happy to be able to check them out again. They are a great band and super friendly.
Members: Ryan Hoke - Vocals,  Jeremy Edge - Guitar, Vocal, Jamie Morral - Bass, Vocals,  Brian Dugan - Drums

FYI   Their latest studio release "Demons" was produced by Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose.

Lacuna Coil and Coal Chamber  kept the crowd in a turbulent state as well. Lacuna Coil hailing from Milan, Italy put on a great show as always. They have a deep passion for connecting with their fans stirring them into a frenzy.

Coal Chamber are no strangers to the Detroit area and the crowd welcomed them back with open arms singing along with enthusiasm. Coal Chamber formed in L.A.back in 1993. The band broke up in 2003 and just recently in September 2011 the band slowing started writing together again. SEVENDUST
"Da PIT"
Sevendust closed out the night by tearing the place up once again to a full house at Harpo's Friday night. The guys are on the road supporting their latest release, "Black Out The Sun" and they decided to make yet another stop in Detroit. The crowd was absolutely on fire with excitement to see them yet again. The pit was an endless mob of bodies being tossed around. Thankfully, I was able to shoot mostly from the stage. I don't think I would have survived shooting from Da Pit as I now call it. Detroit fans welcome Sevendust with open arms every time they make a stop in the "D" and so should you. If you haven't had a chance to see them yet you are truly missing out on a fantastic band and a great group of guys. Sevendust ended the eve with a fan meet and greet which I was happy to take part in. I left at 2am and they were still there signing and taking pics with fans.
