The Sea and Cake tomorrow @ the Magic Stick Detroit

Back again in Detroit after 3 years! Their last show was at the Mocad while they were touring on 'Car Alarm'. Now they're back with a brand new album, their ninth studio album called 'the Moonlight Butterfly', which released May of 2011. It's amazing how much they've done in 20 years. Their main influences are from jazz artists and Brazillian jazz. Sam Prekop has done work with Broken Social Scene's 'Forgiveness Rock Record' and was featured in some of their songs off that album. Their hometown is in Chicago, which is not too far from us. They will be starting their tour off in Detroit followed by shows in the north, Canada, and all around the U.S. Then they will be ending the last show of the tour back at home, Chicago.
