"STOP! Take some time to think, figure out what's important to you"! Do you know these lyrics? Well everyone last Friday night at the Filmore did when Against Me! Chanted those lyrics into the crowd who chanted them right back at the stage in a raving fashion. It didn't stop there, Against Me! Defiantly had a large fan-base at the Filmore that night, because it would almost appear that they were the main feature with how crowded the place was, and with how many people were donning T-shirts with the bands name printed across their chests.

The thick crowed combined with the bright orange lights, and all-black clad musicians on the stage, created a Halloween-esque experience for the on-looker. I was lucky enough to get a few close pictures of the guys in action, and I am not going to lie, it was hard as hell! How can one expect to focus a camera well when such an amazing high-energy band stood before your very camera lens? Not to mention the crowd. They mirrored Against Me!'s Enthusiasm by literally jumping all over the place as well as crowd surfing. Not just one, many a crowd-surfer participated in the festivities and band member Tom Gabel just grinned away, never straying from his songs.
It was (and is) very obvious that Against Me! Is not your average punk rock band. For one, you can actually understand about 99% of the lyrics of their songs, and two, for as serious as they take their music, they did not look like the uptight, stone-faced rock bands that are typically on the scene. They looked, and acted, like they were thoroughly enjoying themselves, and their eager audience. Which is why the audience was so responsive (that and they were sweet as hell!) I for one, have liked their music from the get-go, however, seeing such an amazing band live changes me into a full-fledged huge fan.
